Sorry Rick, didn't mean to mixing up names up again. I looked at the pics again and I can see what you're saying. The close up of the trunk opening shows only a single 1/4" outlining stripe, not the "double" stripe as I had believed I saw in the straight-on tail pic. Even being painted on as nicely as they were, a person has to assume they were added unless there is some sort of documentation or owner history to back it up. They do warrant a closer look on a car that original for sure. It's an interesting car stripes or no stripes, and a deal at 25 grand IMO. Heck, I'd rather have a 55 Azure car anyday over some *special -- Carolina Blue. Again, just my opinion. Welcome to the site.

No problem on the name mixup. I've been called worse.
![]() The car was a steal and if I had the extra money I might have have bought it myself. I have a soft spot for the 67 so to me it was just another car. The new owner got a very nice original car. Something you just don't see everyday. It would be cool to find out the stripes were original. Glad to be aboard and hope I can add to the site. Rick H. ![]() |

Rick -- do you know how the new owner is going to restore the Z? Is he going to paint it with or without the extended striping?

Not sure yet what his plans are. I do know that he plans on doing a full resto on the car and he might start next spring. He has been in contact with us about some NOS GM sheetmetal.
I would like to see it restored the way it is now. Would be interesting. Rick H. |
