I thought those "organ pipe" speaker covers were basically cheap auto parts store accessories? I seem to remember the lowrider crowd (Bay Area, CA) used to favor those back in the 70s.

Another friend of mine had them and they actually sounded pretty cool--- the beginning of surround sound
they also had a reverberetor for the radio --sounded like you were in a tunnel--------------- |

Cool site. Here is a pic of my old Chevelles interior. I had the shrunkin head for a few years. Sometimes I got more compliments on that than the darn car!
