big ugly mercury

I looked at a 1970 Mercury Monterey state patrol car yesterday. This thing is huge and so ugly. Anyway, it has the 428 police interceptor in it. From what I understand this is the same engine as the 428 Cobra Jet. Any idea what something like this is worth?

I'm not a ford guy, but I seem to remember that that is actually a better motor as the intake on intercepters was the best you could get for those motors. Those big uglys would run about 145. Schonye

The speedo went to 140 and the guy said he had it up there once.
