68 Chevelle/Nova Steering Wheel

Can you unscrew the SS emblem off your shroud and give the part number to shed some light?

Looking at the 1968 Dealer Salesman Album,they show a 1968 Chevelle SS steering wheel with an SS396 emblem on it.
Looking at a revised 1968 Chevelle Dealer Brochure,they show the Same picture,with an SS emblem on it.
This is a later distrubuted brochure,so as CJoe stated earlier,I would think that the early cars received the earlier description,and later cas the later description.
The 1968 Impala & Camaro do not show any Steering wheel shots in their literature.

The Parts books say:
*Horn Shroud emblem #3925881 is for 1968 Camaro w/deluxe wheel w/350 & 396.And also 68 Impala SS w/o woodgrained wheel.

*Horn Shroud emblem #3925196 is for 1968 Chevelle SS.

*Canadian SD Beaumonts used the Standard emblem.

The emblem on my Beaumont has 2 maple leaves in it. The emblem on the deluxe steering wheel in my sales brochure also has the maple leaves. The standard steering wheel has the Beaumont emblem in it.

Here is a picture of my Beaumont deluxe steering wheel. I am also looking for another one or I will have this one restored.

Here is a picture of one I got off Ebay for $2.28. The guy said is was off a 68 Camaro.

I stand corrected,you're right James.My 68 Beaumont brochure shows that as well.That is a very Unique emblem.Does it show a Part number?
Are you by any chance a member of ACES,& have you seen the Wertheims' two SD converts. in the March/April issue?
I would love to see pix of your SD396.

I'm not a member of ACES yet. I hadn't heard or saw the issue with Bill's convertibles in it but I heard that there were a couple Beaumonts in the latest issue. Bill sent me a picture of his 3 68 SD396s. He has a hardtop to go with the 2 convertibles. There are a few pictures of my car in the link below that were taken last year. The car still needs some work, mostly in the engine compartment. It definately gets some attention at the cruise-ins. Not many people in South Carolina have ever saw or heard of a Beaumont.
