Is that car in NJ? My neighbor knows a guy who he grew up with in Northern NJ who bought one new and it has been in his back yard rotting away for years.

Here is another Superbird that has been sitting since the 70's. Still with the original owner. It is a 440 car, I believe 440 6 pack. The owner says he will never sell. It is at the point where it is to far gone to restore. He has been offer everything from cash to a brand new car to a corvette.

The house was foreclosed on about 6-8 months ago. The owner of the house owns the car. I couldn't believe he would not sell it to keep his house. The day before the foreclosure was final a tow truck came in the middle of the night and dragged it on it's rear quarters onto the flatbed.

Last one of the rear wing

Thats a real shame because those cars defineatly have a huge place in NASCAR history and those huge rear wings are just too cool! My story about a Superbird is much better than that one, there is gentlemen in Wilmington NC that has a Superbird that he bought new, and still owns it today, it has only 6K original miles, and a all original car,it is blue with a black vinyl top, and it is a Hemi car, I can't remember if it is a auto or 4-speed, next time I am down that way I need to remember to take my camera with me and get some pics of the car, the guy does not mind to let you look at it, in fact he really enjoys the company, last time my dad and I talked to him he said he had turned down 150K for the car!

Notice that the Blue Bird still has a lot of its original parts. Even the very hard piece to get is the chrome on the front windshield. Missing on the orange bird and quite a few other things.

Heres my kid on the Daytona

Lots of money needed on the Orange Bird ! Wish you luck, very cool find..
