It is an awfull feeling having to go through that. About 3 months ago we had to put down our pure breed basenji (African hound/barkless dog) that we had since a pup for just shy of 14 years due to kidney failure.

I am looking at a picture of her (basenji) at my desk, and what good memories we had, boy was she a quick running dog.

I like to think that your pets will join you upstairs, I guess we will have to wait and see.
