[ QUOTE ]
If the car came equipped with an optional center console, then that would be painted the interior color like Red,not Black.Only Ivory & Black interior Super Sports received black consoles originally. The top soft dash pad should be red too.The dash front face around the gauges was always black,as was the steering column too, regardless of what interior color was chosen on a Super Sport. Note the 4 smaller circles around the center speedometer should NOT be highlighted in silver,as the ones are shown in my pic. That pic was taken fresh out of resto in 1994 and they were changed soon afterwards. [/ QUOTE ] Rick... As always a beautiful automobile. Regarding the console... Isn't it supposed to be black if you had the "standard" seat belts and painted if you had the custom belts...? I have the standard black belts with a saddle interior and my console was black. Thanks, Al

I've seen Rick's car at cruise nights several times over the years. Great color combo, beautiful restoration, and the car has a perfect stance.
Great job, and truly an iconic American Musclecar. ![]() |
