Motorwheel "Spiders" were an aftermarket wheel available through speed catalogs and parts suppliers, like Honest Charley, your local speed shop, the Yenko parts counter etc. They were never a "factory" application on anything, Chrysler or otherwise. Motorwheel made several different styles of wheels, including the sought after "Flys" which were a very lightweight, even reversible wheel intended for drag racing use only, due to their lightweight construction that was prone to breakage during hard cornering. They also made the "Magnum 500" wheel which has since been dubbed the "SS" wheel by the Chevelle crowd. The Magnum 500 was used as a production wheel by Ford, Mopar, and Chevy alike, as well as being sold as an over the counter wheel in several sizes and finishes, chrome and painted, for use on things like the Yenko Deuce or whatever you felt like putting them on back in the day. Motorwheel made some cool wheels for sure, and I'm surprised they didn't take off better being that Motorwheel was actually a subsidary of the GoodYear Tire & Rubber Co. They were even the "prime rim and wheel supplier for military vehicles in Vietnam" according to Goodyear's corporate history website. They've all but faded off into obscurity these days though. Neat wheels though for sure.
