Hi,
I'm looking for a, never used, New York State Inspection Sticker from the 1970's. Thanks, Nick... ![]() |

Yes, I have been only seeing PA Inspection Stickers and ones from the 1950's. I'll keep looking.
Thanks, Nick... |

Sorry, I thought the latest bunch of NY stickers on EBAY were from the '60's, but they are much later. I'm looking for a PA sticker from '70 - but camarojoe keeps buying them all

The inspection sticker is not legal to have as your only proof of inspection. You would be "rolling the dice" by not having a current sticker. New York State does permit us to use license plates from the 60's and 70's. But, there are some guide lines. Car has to be at least 25 years old, collector insurance, etc...

In PA if you put "PA Antique Car" plates on your car, it is no longer subject to an annual state safety inspection, so you can put whatever type of vintage inspection sticker on it you want. However, in PA we do not have the priveledge of reissuing vintage plates for current use, you must either have a modern plate, or one that says "PA Antique Car". At least we don't have to run 2 plates, and can legally put USA-1, etc. plates on the front of the car without a hassle from "the man".
