I think the '71 Z is faster.

I was thinking 1970 when it came to the rarity of coupes - my bad! They made 70 in 1970. Stats can be seen here. Grandes are especially rare.

One of my old drinking buddies here in town still drives his med blue sportroof v-8 3 speed Mustang every day. Bought it new. doubt you could pry him out of it. He will be buried in the dam thing I suppose.

Yes, I agree.. As it turns out, Stock 351 4V Mach 1's were pretty much dogs in terms of actual performance.
16 second "avg" 1/4 mile times with a few mid 15's (whoop-de-doo) every once in a blue moon... 0-60 was a miserable 8.2 seconds...

The stock 71 Z28 smoked those times...
