EXACTLY.

The so-called "popular media" doesn't know jack-sh__ about anything meaningful but they sure can scare your a__ about something that very likely will NEVER HAPPEN.

Media hype. Gotta' use your God-given brain filter....a LOT, especially when the TV is turned on (or on the Internet). (Except yenko.net, these guys really do know their sh__.)

Remember Don Henley's song "Dirty Laundry"?

"The bubble-headed bleach-blonde comes on at five
She can tell you about the plane crash with a gleam in her eye..."

Sums it up for me!

Watch the documentary "Bowling for Columbine" for more exposure of how the media hypes things that have little effect on our lives yet pays little attention to serious things that affect us daily. I don't agree with Michael Moore on everything but "Bowling for Columbine" is pretty good. Watch it after the kids go to bed.

Just my opinion and not meant to anger anyone.

Too bad Bowling for Columbine is a big batch of lies masquerading as a "documentary" - aka fake-umentary. Michael moorer used editing to his advantage to twist the words and actions of Charlton Heston..you cen find the details of how he did it here:

BTW, the two gentlemen mentioned in the first link, Peter Schwartz and Doug Randall, both belong to GBN, an organization which a year ago was predicting that the globe will turn into a sauna if we don't switch from oil to hydrogen

I do agree that the part in "Columbine" where Michael Moore basically ambushes Heston (at his home) was way out of line. That's where he lost me.

When the scare mongers earlier prediction of a nuclear winter colides with their global warming farce everything will be OK. Besides, a comet will wipe out all life (except roaches) on earth long before the above scenario takes place.

here in my area they talk about globle warming when its 105 in the shade but in the winter time when its around 30 degrees you don't hear them say anything

By "roaches" do you mean lowered fart-piped Civics? That's what I've come to learn "roaches" are.

"Rats" should survive too, come to think of it. In the great food chain rats must eat roaches so there is hope.
