I had the impression that bashing people was something that we should try not to do on the board here anymore??

I¨d feel better if we had this man here to Defend himself,

You are correct NEW..I would suggest anyone who needs information on this person to please contact each other off-line now...especially if you plan on purchasing something from him..

I am not trying to slam anyone. Part of having a site like this is to try and validate real and fake vehicles as well as find the truth about incredulous claims such as this individual has made. Let's face it, anyone who makes a claim that they have an original unmolested or near nothing mileage vehicle is going to get scrutinized whether they like it or not. Sometimes finding out about the reputation of the individual who is selling a car is a good start in determining the legitimacy of what that person is selling or claiming. How would you like to have paid out $120,000 for a vehicle and then find out it is not what you had thought and secondly it is worth less than half of what you had paid? I don't want anyone - whether their dream car is a Camaro or a Lada from having to go through that! If I can do my bit to prevent fraud or deceit I will. Don't think for a minute that Richard English is not reading this. He apparently knows everyone in this circle.

I totally agree with the value of knowledge...we just need to be careful about what we "hear" about people.Maxx has personal knowledge of the car and that information is important..just don't want to see it get too muddy in here.

I have spoken to English at Camaro Heaven once, or twice. To me he sounded ok, we spoke abt. parts, and his cars.

I like to speak to people, not abt. people. And by doing this i hope people do the same to me.

But there is always stories to tell abt. people doing car biz,as a living. And often when there is a story to tell, it has tripled from the time the source tells his friend, that again tells his friend, who also has a friend that has heard that someone spoke abt something.

But again, to me its up to each, and every one, to decide what they mean, and would like to share with each one of us, from all around USA, and the world. Cause this thing is broadcasting everywhere(www).

Benny, do you recall the date on that red '69 z? I bought the ''original'' motor from that car, when I got it home I realized someone had doctored a 388 block to a 386 with some epoxy. I'm not here to bash Mr. English, but I would never purchase anything from him again. As I understand it a 388 block may have been acceptable for that car, but I have since sold that motor and don't recall the casting date.

I am sure that the owner of the car frequents this site. If he had anything to add I am sure we would have heard from him.

Real Red - Do you have the VIN number from that block you got from English? I can contact the guy with the fake car. Not sure if he wants to add anything to this thread. One good thing is that as soon as Jim Mattison and/or GM comes out with our paperwork, he can find out once and for all and take legal action if warranted.

Here is the new English ad:

http://www.camaros.net/cgi-bin/cyber...hoto_size=full

He is being much more honest in his description. He says that it has been "turned over". Ya right - eggs are turned over - cars are rolled and wrecked. It's nice to see that he has come to his senses with the price - you can now get the rolled RS/Z for only $110k

Hey Maxx - How would you like another black Z to go with your black beauty? It's an extremely rare and valuable car. It has - are you ready? Orange Houndstooth interior!!!! Here's the best part - you can get the car for just 4 easy monthly payments of $27,500 dollars. But wait! There's more!! If you call right now, we'll not only give you the car but we will throw in 3 bottles of Hardshell Turtle Wax so your new Z can keep that "my owner just got smoked" look for years to come......
