Default BUSTED

Got a call today from the postal inspector who has been investigating the guy who had the too good to be true parts collection and prices. The good news is he is locked up in jail in Utah. The bad news is it is doubtful that anyone who was unfortunate enough to have sent him money will be seeing any of it returned.

They have seized his computer and are going through his emails to try to contact potential victims. Fortunately, I smelled a rat and did not send him any money. The inspector is aware of this website and some other the others car sites that had posts about this guy. I hope this slime ball gets his due courtesy of a big friendly cell mate.

Do you know what the guy's real name is? I was scammed by somebody several years ago along with tons of other people and I sure hope he didn't get out and do it all over again.

It sounds like partzsurplus... You might be interested in this thread if it is. As I understand it many have been able to recover monies sent to the crooks...

Lets get his address at the prison and write him some nasty letters! Something to the sort of "I hope you rot in there you lousy stinking phony. . ." etc. What would cause someone to do things like that? It's people like him that make the hobby look bad.

No question this will be a case with Federal Jurisdiction, lets keep track of which federal prison he ends up in as I have friends in most of them that dont care much for thieves.
