Regarding the '68 L89 Chevelle convertible......
There has never been any documentation discovered to support that GM ever built such a car is what I have read. I've never seen it noted in any production total breakdowns by numerous sources. As the description reads with the car at BJ it claims "believed to be". Doesn't mean one didn't fly under the radar and get produced but skepticism remains. Dealer conversion?

One thing is for sure, I was impressed by the guy that purchased all 4 Calloway Corvettes. WOW, $675,000 worth of power!

I know Stefano owned an Orange Manual trans. COPO Chevelle, last digits were #270.
The one that sold at B/J has an Auto. on Column. I wonder if that one was Jeff L.'s old Chevelle? Anyone copy the VIN# on that one? Rick |

Looks like it was one of Harry's old cars. I think it is interesting how the customs and slightly modified cars are selling faster and for more money than the completely stock cars are. I guess it has a lot to do with what people perceive as enjoyable.
