Definitely get on a certified scale somewhere. I've been everywhere from high-3400 to just shy of 3900 pounds, all in the same car, at different race tracks over the course of about 5 years. Kind of makes ya wonder how the REAL racers would deal with a 500 pound swing?!

I don't know how it may work in other states, but here in Washington the truck weigh stations leave their scales up and running even when they are closed, to benefit truck drivers who want to make sure they are legal.
Just find a closed weigh station, and you normally have time to weigh each corner, each side, front, rear, and the whole enchilada!

i've heard that the scales here at desoto drags in bradenton florida are about 25 lbs off. i can deal with that . i'm tring to get my car ready for super chevy in february. i added headers ,traction bars and slicks.
i'd like to run the F.A.S.T series eventually but
i'm not going to shoot myself in the foot and go try to run with those guys with a car that i've never had to the track! those guys are good!!! i'll run super chevy then go to exhaust manifolds ,bias plys and other stuff later! those cast iron headed big blocks are sure heavy !
thanks for the help guys!
