Not to step on toes here but what about this link that was posted a few days ago about this car? It is the very same car on ebay and seems to have been built up.
The asking price on the website was only $18,555/offer plus the dealer is in Wisconsin. Looks like it was sold there as well. If I was a bidder on ebay with a $30K plus bid on this car and found this link I would be very, very unhappy. You make the call. http://www.cantdrive55.net/_68_camaro.html Rick H |

What the guy paid for the car is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if he paid a dollar or a hundred thousand, it's worth what someone will pay.
If I were high bidder at $30k, and it turned out to be a Dana converted car, I'd be real happy, regardless of what he paid. |

There is nothing wrong with buying a car and selling it for more than you paid. And as stated, if it does turn out to be a documented Dana car, the only one who should be upset is the dealer who sold it for 18K. If it turns out to be a put-together car, well then thats a different story all together... I for one am anxiously awaiting the outcome of this mystery paperwork saga.

It's aftermarket AC so that has no meaning regarding the originality.

I was just giving my opinion on this car and like I said if I was the high bidder and found a link with the same car for sale at a third of what it is now I would be very cautious.
It would have been a lot less trouble and naming calling if the seller had done his homework before he started this mess! Why not call the dealer where it originally came from? Has anybody done that? It seems strange that the dealer who deals in muscle cars wouldn't know it was a COPO. Rick H. |
