[ QUOTE ]
Doing a Resto on a car is alot different than just driving the Cr*p out of one. I spend enough time just keeping them running. I already spend a bunch of time just working on what I have. Yes I could probably do just about everything except paint but I don't think I have the patience to do the research to make sure I get every detail right. I have a real appreciation for those Resto Guys that do put that extra effort in to get the little stuff right. So I could do the engine and have it painted but it would be a # 2 type car. This car at some point will get a correct resto so in essence the work I do would have to be repeated again anyway....I have had this discussion with myself before. Last one I did was a 63 Vette about a Year ago. Before that was a 65 Shelby GT 350 that I chose to send off for a Resto that has been going on for 2 Years....I dunno...I guess I just think this car is so neat that it deserves better than I would give it if I did it myself. Ask me again tomorrow and I might give you a different answer. [/ QUOTE ] I was just trying to fire you up a little and it seemed to work Feels good dont it! ![]() Those restos take time dont they, I had a 40 ford sitting in a shop years ago waiting for paint and a few parts, took almost 5 years to get it finished right..When is the shelby suppose to be finished? I think the Shelby will be finished by Summer. It is at the point where it is just a big puzzle that needs to be put back together. Almost all the parts are there and refinished, the car is painted, engine rebuilt etc...

Interesting valve that I have never seen, is there a GM type casting on it? |

That's neat, they wrote engine code there.
