I don't think I would do any trading unless he came up with the paperwork he claims to have. Think about it, if this were a true COPO like he says, it would be worth $75K to $100K. Sounds to my like he has a pieced together Camaro that he claimed to be a COPO and he got called out on it and is now trying to pawn it off on someone else. This is just my opinion and I could be wrong, but I doubt if I'm wrong this time.

True! I will wait patiently and see what comes up.Is it possible that he might not know what he has and who ever bought the car new took it over to dana and had the 396 traded for 427 and no documentation was recorded.

Mark, anything's possible, but it's highly unlikely. If that were the case, it would most certainly have a CE coded block, not the MO block he claims. It's possible that that motor was removed from a 69 COPO and transplanted into the 68, 20 years ago, but I doubt that gives it any more value than doing it last week. Just my opinion.

Based on the Ebay ad, it has a 69 COPO engine, transmission and rear in it. Is the protect-o-plate for a 68 or 69?

Looking at that very small picture of the POP, it appears to look TOOOOO CLEAN. Like maybe a 2003 version if you know what I mean. The real POP's that I have ever had look not so new.

To clean maybe, I have a Owners protection Plan with the POP from a 66 Impala and it looks like its brand new. As for the New POP's the stamp font size is off!!

I agree, there are exceptions. That very small picture just adds to the invalidity of the owners declarations about the car. Bunk.
