OK, I guess no one wants to put a number on it. Well then, next question: Where is the best place to find out / research the VIN number plate for the engine and other options? Thanks.

Ask around here for a guy named "mr70". He is hiding somewhere because of his current post quota of 1970 posts can't be damaged. He can help you if he comes out of retirement. Go to the Lounge and wait for a reply.

Mark,
I've followed El Camino's for years and owned a numbers matching SS454 '70 El Camino myself. While its very difficult without seeing the car, ballpark would be $7,500 to $12,500 depending on condition.

I sold my 70 El Camino LS5 last year for 19K. CA. car with Original panels, cowl induction, air conditioning and all original drivetrain. I hope that helps some.

Thanks guys for the input. The guy was asking $16k for it, but is in pretty bad health so he lowered the price to $10k. But I'm still not sure yet. I was curious about the general pricing on EC's since they're a different breed. If I learn anything more interesting on the car, I will let you all know, thanks again, Mark.
