In the mid seventies I bought a used SS big block Chevelle from the Penske dealership on Telegraph rd in Detroit. Did he have two dealerships or did he move from Pa to Detroit?

Motown,I believe it was two different dealerships.One I think was run by a son and the other I'm not sure of....

It could have been Roger P's dealership since he is into everything. He is still in the retail car business today as the owner/founder of UAG. (United Auto Group, a big coropration like AutoNation or Sonic that owns car dealerships) Last I heard they own 100-150 dealerships in the country.

I think I remember that orange car for sale here locally about 6-7 years ago, they seller had owned it since the early '70's - was asking $65k! Spoke to him a few times, interesting car, the seller had enjoyed it throughout his ownership. Car was sold new at the Penske in Philadelphia, PA.

Did'nt Dennis Hartwig work for Penske at some level? I remember in talking to him that he traveled quite a bit. Mr. Cumby am I in the ballpark here? Schonye

I believe that Mr. Hartweg worked for a Penske division called Penske Logistics? He told me this in person at Vette Fest 2002 if I remember right.

I remember talking to the owner of this car a few years back. The original engine was gone but he knew
Who had it. The guy who had the engine wanted $10,000 plus the ZL1 that was in the car. I remember It was advertised for sale for $65,000 locally about 10 years ago. Mark L
