The CB & CD TH400 was used from 1968-1975 cars.
But your transmissions specifically were used on: 70 CB=is a Turbo Hydra 400 that came mated to 1970 LS5 454/345HP Chevrolet. 70 CD=is a Turbo Hydra 400 that came mated to 1970 LS3 402/330HP in the Chevelle & Monte Carlo. Can you see any numbers stamped into the tag? They should be the Julian Date code, and the serial number for that Trans. |

Thanks for the replies.
I'll have to get the other #'s later; a friend has these stashed away in storage, so I'm at the mercy of his schedule. One (I believe the CD coded one) has a 6-lug torque converter in it...would this be the OEM converter, or maybe a truck converter? Thanks again guys Eric |
