Default Re: Identifying 400TH transmissions?

The CB & CD TH400 was used from 1968-1975 cars.
But your transmissions specifically were used on:
70 CB=is a Turbo Hydra 400 that came mated to 1970 LS5 454/345HP Chevrolet.

70 CD=is a Turbo Hydra 400 that came mated to 1970 LS3 402/330HP in the Chevelle & Monte Carlo.

Can you see any numbers stamped into the tag?
They should be the Julian Date code, and the serial number for that Trans.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll have to get the other #'s later; a friend has these stashed away in storage, so I'm at the mercy of his schedule.

One (I believe the CD coded one) has a 6-lug torque converter in it...would this be the OEM converter, or maybe a truck converter?

Thanks again guys
