sYc/Jeff, Allow me to (sadly) correct you, the cars in that pic WERE race cars now they are "objects of art" as it`s doubtful NONE of them will ever see competition again.

My fav had to be Chad/Rick N 70 Dick Harrell Camaro....can't beat the originals!
Close seconds had to be John Hornbacks beautifully restored Fencl Tufo Forest Green/white stripe Deuce or Gene Englers awesome color combo Cranberry Red/white stripe Fencl Tufo Deuce. Both Day 2 cars! BTW for the Deuce lovers out there John Hornback took his Deuce to Byron and ran a 13.09! Good for him! (Marlin you have some catching up to do! )

Killer Show ! ! ! !
My favorite . . ., I just can't get into those Corvairs. Cool concept, but not enough cubes for me. I might have to pick one of the three Fathom Green Yankos (Jim Parks was restored with new quarters, low mileage and beautiful none the less) and that Garnet Red '69 Nova was nice, I have to say that the funny car of Tom's was a neat piece to admire, Holubs Hemi motor was nice, but I bet the Grumpy motor might give it a scare Matt Bergers Blue 427 conv. 2002 Hot Rod car was a great combination of color and performance . . . BUT, the best of show for me was Barnhardts Original '69 ZL1 (Porterfields a close second) I love the drag race versions. By the way, I brought a few of my own . . . I really liked the 2002 White "Grumpy's Toy" ZL-1.
And it is the last of the run #69 Matt, What is a phase IV engine? and what kind of manifold was on that car? wow! |

Thanks for the picture guys! Does anyone have any pictures of the regular cars that were showed at the Vette Fest? I would like to bring my cars down next year but I would like to see some competition. I can pay for a cd, or maybe you guys could post some more pictures here. Thanks. Let me know.
