A little off topic, but, were these two ZL1 engines from a car or over the counter? If from a car, what happened to the car?

Drdave:

I am not quite sure if the ZLI 427 came out of an actual COPO 9560, or it's an over the counter block. The ad was pretty vague, and just said it was dated and complete. At $17,500, you would think it would be an original, but who knows. One would have to call and find out.
