I wonder how big of a shot of nitrous was used to run those numbers. I would like to see an "all motor" pump gas shoot out!

My engine builder has an all steel 56 Chevy running 9.90 (and dropping) all motor on pump gas with a Jerico

I don't doubt that it can be done. It's just that there is a large gap between "street legal" and a true street car IMO.

Those cars in the shootout got teched, then drove 33 miles, and got caught in Memphis rush hour traffic...talk about tough. Then they go and AVERAGE et's in the 9s, with some on the verge of 8s? Friggin' unbelievable...

Hey Rob,
A friend of mine ran his red 70 nova in this shoot out.He took 3rd. with a best e.t. 9.08. Small block and a single turbo,on leaf springs with cal-trac bars.He lost the fuel pump on the third pass.His name is Ray Doughty out of Plesant Valley,N.Y. The "MOF"
