Has a 69 302 crank and the block could be from a 302. Cant find the XI code either. I would contact Kurt S here and ask him if he knows if the export Z28's engine codes were marked different than the non-export cars. My thoughts with the X standing for export

Hi Red, Probably some one got a 4" bore block and made a 302. What are you putting it in? Is it for sale? Thanks, Sam

Looks to me that someone just got the 302 parts and built a motor. I have nothing against a 2 bolt 302 motor or any hi-po small block with 2 bolt mains. 2 bolt motors live a long time if done right. These DZ and 4 bolt blocks with the right casting #'s are getting out of hand. Overpriced! Sam

Whats the casting number on the center 3 main bearing caps? All 69 Hi Po small blocks used the 2482 nodular iron caps.
