Denis,

Two most expensive are $100K - neither have sold to the best of my knowledge (one owner called me again on Saturday - Motown advertised the other on this site so maybe he can confirm this). Number 1 cars are $50-$60K range it seems, anything drivable is $30K plus, projects are all over the place but usually $15K or better. I'll give you a better idea once I see if any of these cars change hands. To be honest, most who contact me are "thinking about selling" and are asking me what the prices are. I think a number of longer-term owners are testing the waters given the huge price increases in Muscle cars during the past year or so.

Same subject, different year...

What would a driveable early '70s Z be worth? Auto, interior not too bad, not sure if engine is original, looks like originally blue, and at first glance appears pretty solid. They've been driving it, but they swapped carbs (to a Q-jet!) using an adapter, it had anti-freeze puddled on the intake, and they said the brakes weren't working quite right. I talked to the guys wife and she said the orignal carb wouldn't work, so they swapped on the Q-jet, but with the adapter it makes it sit too tall, so they took off the air cleaner assembly! Needs LOTS of TLC, but it's not too bad for this area. Any tips what to look for, like trouble areas, or verification?

The Norwood cars will have the "Z28" or "28" on the trim tag. On the 72 and later, the VIN will tell you which engine and that will also determine a Z28. Go to MadMike's site Second Gen Camaro info to learn all the details on the 2nd gen Z28's. Ond of the weak spots on those cars is the rear frame rails tend to rust out completely. The rockers also rust pretty good.

Well, one part I do recall is seeing "Z28" on the tag. Thanks for the info!

Seems like you can (or could, last time I checked) find a decent restored 1970 Z28 for $20-23K. Add another $10K for a L78.

I guess I should sell my Camaro. At a local show a man offered me $22,500 for the car. Read my sig it will tell you all the details. I am about $19,000 in including shipping, the title, engine compartment - under carriage detail, and some minor interior work.

Mark,
The "other" 100K 67Z has not changed hands, but to be fair I must indicate that no effort has been made to sell the car other then posting it here.

Matt, Thanks for the update...that is a beautiful car with a really neat history. Since so few of these cars change hands, it's very difficult to put a value on them. I am going to add a section to my Web Site where I attempt to follow recent sales and offerings to help '67 Z fans monitor the market. However, at the end of the day, the owners of these cars are free to ask whatever they want for them. Most I find could really care less whethter they sold the cars. Not many "fire sales" in the '67 Z world
