well that just sucks.. I realize that Matt owns the cars and is funding the thing.. but there is only ONE Mr MoTion.. And he's never let us down before.. Give the man what he wants.. If Berger had different views... Come out with a BERGER camaro with those views attached... get it? Matt Berger doesn't design Motion Camaros.. Joel Rosen does.. Thats it. 1969......2003.. it don't matter. Come on guys...

Ed, If it was your money invested, and you owned the cars, and someone wanted to do something you didnt like, would you go along with it anyhow? Maybe you would, but I know i wouldn't, regardless of WHO it was. I'm not taking sides here, but i can see how a dispute could easily cause problems. As Matt Murphy said, If Joel Rosen could put his own money into it and get some cars and create a "true" Motion-built modern supercar, he could do anything and everything he wants, and I'm sure the results would be wild, but when you try to do stuff with other people's money, you cant have 100% "artistic freedom", because the person footing the bill always has the ultimate "last word" in what his money is spent on. While I'm on my soapbox, I'd have to admit I actually believe the last true Motion cars (or ANY supercars for that matter) were built in the late 60s-early 70's anyhow. Not to disrepect the newer cars, as I love em, but i think new supercars should have new names, and pull their own weight, without relying on the names of past supercars. Like i said, thats just my opinion.

agreed.. And now that you mention it, going on what I know.. Joel isn't hurting for $ .. So in reality since Matt is fully funding the project, he has the final say.. And if Joel doesn't agree with Matt on the final Motion camaro.. Then Joel should bring out a Motion Camaro that he wants to come out on his own.. If he want's to. And since Matt has the cars and the funding, I say put them out as something "unique".. They don't have to be "motion" to be AWESOME. Give us something we haven't seen yet. I dare you.

I dont think it would be too tough for Joel to get some deposits for a true modern Motion Camaro!!

Can we get more details on the car Joel wanted to build?

427, supercharged w/nitrous. Some where in the range of 750 HP. In addition, special hood, wheels, spoiler, ground affects, with paint design in part by "Gary the Local Brush". As with most, if not all of Joel's cars, not for the faint of heart, either in performance or styling.

Doesn't sound like anything wrong with Joels ideas.. So what were the differences that led to this project falling apart?

Matt Berger was concerned with liablilty issues in regards to putting a supercharger/nitrous on a 600hp 427, and Matt Murphy and Joel had a difference of opinion on what/who's exterior pieces to use.

As for some of the other issues involved, and where things go from here, might be best if Dennis Barker chimed in here, as he was in charge of promoting, advertising and of course sales for the proposed new Motion car.
