Yeah, he's really hung up on the block casting # and thinks it can only be a 302. The car isn't even an SS so he's going to get himself in trouble if he doesn't start taking advice and listing it correctly.

You guys are correct. He does not have a 302 in his 69 Camaro. The 388 block is rare though. Most are late 68 as mentioned above. I currently have one of these blocks and it is a 4-bolt 300 HP and has 041 heads. I also had a 388 2-bolt block out of a 69 Implala. Colvin's book says 4-bolt only? But I know anyhing is possible.
