Chris,
You will have to ask those guys about their times and win/loss stats, seems Rob was somewhere in the 11's maybe? Caseys car is a W-31, strong runner, really nice car. Motown

Pete won his shootout against an L-88 Corvette that qualified with an 11.99@120(!) to Pete's 12.10@116! Talk about HEAVY HITTERS! A ZL-1 and an L-88, doesn't get much better than that...except maybe the fact that Pete stepped up in the shootout and brought home the win! Pete's car was working, but the DRIVER won that shootout.
Casey participated in the Certified Stock program this year, and proceeded to raise (lower?) the bar for the rest of the small blocks with his 12.88@108+!!!! That thing is legitimately fast, and is a threat to LOTS of big blocks! He won his shootout against my old nemesis, the Plain Brown Wrapper Studebaker! As for me, I went a 12.45 and some low 12.50s on Friday, then spent the majority of the Friday afternoon and all day Saturday spinning away ET in the first 60'. The car did go over 113 MPH in what the majority of racers thought was terrible air (it again liked less timing @ 32 ), so the power is there, if we can just hook it! I ran a 440-6 SuperBee in my shootout, and had to win 2 in a row to take the win. Was another great weekend at the track thanks to Bob/Dan! |

Thanks for posting the great pixs Madman.... and I really, really, enjoyed finally meeting you and chating! I have a feeling you could be a lot of fun!
Glad you made it home safe and sound Rob and John, had a great time with you fine gentlemen as well. The race with this Vette was one of my all time favourites. That thing just plain worked. He had me covered by a tenth, but first round I put a tenth and change on him with my .560 light. That's all it took as we stayed glued to our positions till about the 1000 foot mark, when his exhaust manifolds started to out work mine. He went faster than I did, but I got there first. Second round was the same deal with a .530 light from me and I think it would have ended the same, but i did a 1st to 3rd deal and just shut down. He was kind of freaked out by this time with my lights, so he bulbed the next round handing me the win. I don't think it would have mattered, cause my light was.503!
