Default Re: Fans of the Big Cars Beware!

The fraud will be hard, if not imossible, to discover if both the VIN & cowl tag are swapped into another body.
With the wire feed welder & quality bodymen around today when they're finished replacing the VIN on a body how will you tell
Even the GM Documentation would match the car.
There's probably a chemical test of the metal to see if there has been welding in an area but would anyone allow that?

With the high value of certain cars the temptation will be incredible. People who just have cowl tags swapped will be found out (I'm sure most will have bought them that way).
Unfortunatly when there's money to be made people get creative

Buyer beware,
Rob
