The Ray Sullins car is the ZL1 #1 car. Herb Fox, Sullins and Harrell drove the car. Hayter put the R/S front end on to save the weight of the headlites and so forth, when he ran the car.

I do think?? Herb Fox and Ray Sullins drove the car around the same time. I don't think that Harrell was an everyday driver. Sam

Jeff, the car your talking about is the # 1 car of Porterfields . Herb started out driving the car, then Ray and then Jim Hayter. Jim & Fred were crowned the AHRA world champions Oct 1st 1971 when they beat "Wee Haul" camaro in the finals. Jim also had a 69 camaro before he moved to LaHarp in March 70 or 71 He also had a 69 later which was Hayter&Wright car. I think this is correct. If i am wrong please let me know. Sorry, just yankin' his chain again. His info is dead-on, it's just that the guy isn't quite right in the head most of the time. He needs a good rattlin' every once in a while and it's been almost five days since I hammered on him! Just ignore me, right Kim?

Kim the "We Haul" car that they beat would that have been the cars that were sponsered by Van Senus Auto Parts in Hammond IN raced by Joe Statmary? Was the car that the LaHarpe Camp beat a first Gen Camaro or second gen? ChrisS a member here and I have done research on this group. Just curious.
