Hey guys, thanks for your input.
Chevy454: I¥ve used the By pass blocking in previus engines and as you pointed out You¥ve have to bee verry careful whit engine speed untill you reatch right temp on engine, as for clearances I¥ve go as close to Chevy specs as posibly if bearingmanufactory not say othervice.. The "blueprinting" of stock Nova67 pump (front sump short pump whit looong pickuptub )is to check all clearances and if out of order correct it..if needed lithle deburring and polishingof entry to mainbearingcap. Charley Lillard: you got mee there 65K ha ha should bee 6,5K. Nice to hear you gone remout whit no trubble in several cars,, I¥ll asked to get more input and to bee more "safe than sorry" Thanks again.

If your gonna be running the factory clearances, then running the stiff spring will probably be overkill. Remember, volume/pressure eat horsepower.

Thanks again.
Thinkin of putting on oilpump and pan on engin when it is on stand and with crank, rods, cam, lifter, pistons in place try to run pump with an elektric drill in varius speeds and check oilpressure with remote oilfilter mounted.. I¥ll take an old distributor and do an prime"tool" out of it..
