I have seen the dash paint code on a 68 Yenko Camaro and believe it was for stripe delete.

My 1821 mile original paint black Z28 is a stripe delete car and the cowl tag has a - - code for paint. Pictures of the car are on my website. Thanks

Ok, so - - on a Camaro could represent a standard paint color but stripe delete.
