I noticed that too, unusual for the shifter to come up through the middle of the tunnel. To my knowledge, only the COPO Novas have that because they are the only Novas to come from the factory with a Hurst shifter.
Regardless, a very nice car! Love the wheels!

This one was on Ebay some time ago. I remember discussing it on the Nova site.

I understand that this VERY nice Nova is not an exact restoration. 1) Are those small Hubcaps from 1969, whereas the 70 Nova's and Camaros used a BowTie centered Baby Moon on the CL coded wheel (see attached pic) ..... 2) The L-78 engine (after Jan 1, 1970) used the Dual Snorkel Aircleaner one of which was for sale at Super Chevy INDY for $1500 and sold for ????

camarorus, the hubcaps are correct. 70 Novas did not use the baby moon style caps in 1970, they used the same ones as 69. I don't know what the wheel codes are, but i do know the car pictured has the correct hubcaps.

The caps are the correct ones, the wheels would be coded 'XT's just like the '69 Camaros and Novas. The redlines stopped in '69 though. This car was discussed at length on the Nova site, but that board is down right now so can't attach a link.

Marlin, the redlines were done after '69? Hmmmm..... my original vision for my '70 is to use the original XT rims and some redlines.
Maybe I'll just have to go with some sporty raised white letter tires.... 'cause I can't bring myself to putting on a set of white stripe tires. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ ![]()

I just checked Alan Colvins 1970-75 Numbers book again....Looks like the Nova's didnt use the "CL" wheels until 71 and 72. I am STILL seeking 4 or 5 CL wheels for my 70 SS Camaro(and misc Z-28 wheel components also)....thanks, Chuck S.......p.s. Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner pic attached
