Hello Dan: Thank you for all the information and the link. Great shots of the "work in progress" and the great looking results! It must be a challenge to lower the standards to what the "General" did on the production line. The Mosport Green reminds me of a 1967 Corvette offered a couple of years ago. I seem to remember Terry had a factory Mosport Green Corvette for sale. Another one of the 10 built? Thanks, Charles

This morning when I wrote the reply to your thread I knew I had remembered a COPO 67 silver/red combo that was for sale. In the NCRS "Restorer" magazine about a year + ago, there was one of the 10 COPO cars for sale. They are rare delete cars (no options) for that sell for HUGE amounts of money. This one was going for $120,000 frame off restored but NO documents except COPO sheets. Just like a COPO Camaro, it all depends on how much money you want to spend. I am driving down to Hershey for the NCRS National show tomorrow morning so I will have tons of Racer, and rare Corvette pictures. I am looking to add another plaque to the Duntov Award. Talk soon.

I forgot to add. If your asking this; Mosport Green was the second rarest color next to Black. A Tuxedo Black 1966 Corvette was acutally harder to get then a Mosport Green 1966 Corvette.

hi mosportgreen66,you seem to be up on the vettes and i have a question on a 68 tripower 435hp car,it is a matching number car and this person is asking 35k for it.on a scale of 1 to 10 1 being the best i would rate it at a #4 being it isnt a trailer car but a driver and has all the original drivetrain and engine components.is 35k a fair price for a 68 tripower car? Hello Ron C: If I can add my 2 cents; the 1969 model year is a better choice for this model. There are quality issues with the 1968 and there were some design improvements for 1969. Plus because they made so many more 1969's there is a greater choice today. Is it a coupe? Color also plays a role in the price. There was a 1 owner green 1968 convertible 435 HP with low miles that didn't make over $25,000 on ebay some time ago. If you look in Hemmings you will get a fair idea of the prices... Personally I would hold out for a 1969 Corvette. The kind of money you mention would get you a nice one.

Hello Ron C: The 1968 had some running production changes through the model year. Different door pulls for the interior a couple of other small items. Coupes were very scarce at the start of the year, I am guessing that the silver car you mention was built later on? Silver on blue is not one of the more common color combinations. Any documents for the car like bill of sale, tank sticker? Also it is no fun and messy setting the valve clearance hot on the solid lifter cars... Regards

Hello Dan: The Mosport Green Corvette I mentioned was a 1967 model that was not officially available in that color. The other COPO car was a 1967 Corvette- Black with a Green interior. An oddball combination to be sure.
