Default 1967 COPO Corvettes 10?

There is lots of talk here about the steel cars; any comments about the 1967 COPO Corvettes? Any list of colors and options available? Best known is the silver on red 350 HP soft top delete car. Also a silver on red 427 coupe. A black? on GREEN convertible. Can anyone add to this list? Thanks.

There have been a few dealer cars such as a sunfire yellow '67 convertible with a dark blue interior at some shows. This car was at the NCRS show in Florida last year. It was a s/b 327, p/b, p/w, p/s, heater-radio delete car. ODD indeed! Also in 1966 there were 4 Corvettes sprayed in Trophy Blue with a BIRGHT BLUE interior. This combo was NOT offered by Chevrolet. The man who restored my Corvette has 2 of the 4. The cars were not delete cars they were normal optioned Corvettes with different interiors. They were sold in all of the engine options:

Coupe: 427/450
Coupe: 427/425
Convertible: 427/390
Convertible: 327/350

You can see picture of his 450 car @ http://www.vetteworks.com/prod03.htm

Hello Dan: Thank you for all the information and the link. Great shots of the "work in progress" and the great looking results! It must be a challenge to lower the standards to what the "General" did on the production line. The Mosport Green reminds me of a 1967 Corvette offered a couple of years ago. I seem to remember Terry had a factory Mosport Green Corvette for sale. Another one of the 10 built? Thanks, Charles

This morning when I wrote the reply to your thread I knew I had remembered a COPO 67 silver/red combo that was for sale. In the NCRS "Restorer" magazine about a year + ago, there was one of the 10 COPO cars for sale. They are rare delete cars (no options) for that sell for HUGE amounts of money. This one was going for $120,000 frame off restored but NO documents except COPO sheets. Just like a COPO Camaro, it all depends on how much money you want to spend. I am driving down to Hershey for the NCRS National show tomorrow morning so I will have tons of Racer, and rare Corvette pictures. I am looking to add another plaque to the Duntov Award. Talk soon.

I forgot to add. If your asking this; Mosport Green was the second rarest color next to Black. A Tuxedo Black 1966 Corvette was acutally harder to get then a Mosport Green 1966 Corvette.

hi mosportgreen66,you seem to be up on the vettes and i have a question on a 68 tripower 435hp car,it is a matching number car and this person is asking 35k for it.on a scale of 1 to 10 1 being the best i would rate it at a #4 being it isnt a trailer car but a driver and has all the original drivetrain and engine components.is 35k a fair price for a 68 tripower car? Hello Dan: The Mosport Green Corvette I mentioned was a 1967 model that was not officially available in that color. The other COPO car was a 1967 Corvette- Black with a Green interior. An oddball combination to be sure.

Hello Ron C: If I can add my 2 cents; the 1969 model year is a better choice for this model. There are quality issues with the 1968 and there were some design improvements for 1969. Plus because they made so many more 1969's there is a greater choice today. Is it a coupe? Color also plays a role in the price. There was a 1 owner green 1968 convertible 435 HP with low miles that didn't make over $25,000 on ebay some time ago. If you look in Hemmings you will get a fair idea of the prices... Personally I would hold out for a 1969 Corvette. The kind of money you mention would get you a nice one.

hi charles, yea it is a coupe and is silver with the original blue interior.it is all there and never hot rodded, adult owned since new.it is very clean throughout.i thought the price was high being the market is flat for all cars now and i have been watching ebay every day and see the same cars getting relisted all the time.thanks for your reply.
