If I remember correctly,the original assembly is V0227M and maybe half of a O . The casting date:2-14-7 and casting # 657.
If you look at the first picture,right in the middle front of the engine pad you might be able to make out a little oval stamped with the name Traco. |

Before Chevy came out with the Z/28 302 engine, the hot rodders and Indy racers were using the same bore/stroke engine but they called them "301s". Traco was building some of the 301s for racing so maybe they still called the 302 a 301?

Sure looks like a late feb built '67 302 that was race prepped by Traco - I'm sure Jon will chime in on this one...So, it's sold?

The D.C. is for Dana Chevrolet,and 001 is for the 1st engine... It is sold. |
