Default Re: 1969 CAMARO SS 396 QUESTION. PLEASE HELP!

If the car has 1 3/8" fuel line it was an L78 car. If there are 2 lines, the 3/8" and a smaller one it was built with a Quadrajet carb making it a 325 or 350 hp 396. If it has a factory tachometer the L78 redlne would be 6000 rpm, 325/350 5500 rpm. If was built in California (L VIN) there may be a broadcast sheet taped to the top of the fuel tank.
