Bud the wisk broom that brought a lot of attention recently was a promotional item from Berger Chevrolet. With them being such a popular dealer that actually sold supercars it was not suprising that the broom brought so much money. The broom that you have showed pictures of doesn't even look like it has a dealer name on it unless it is on he other side. If it isn't branded with dealership info on it it is probably has the value of any old wisk broom which is 0. Even if the wisk broom had dealer info and it came from an unknown dealer the value might not be all that high unless someone had a car from that particular dealer.

Thanks Frank, I think a lot of people just don't get the whole memorabilia thing. I appreciate seeing any piece of vintage Supercar memorabila and completely understand the prices some of it commands these days. Sometimes certain pieces of memorabila have an aura even the cars don't. I kind of look at it the way the many people look at collecting sports memorabilia. Why do people collect game worn jerseys, or used baseball bats, I think it's because they're tangible reminders of some great moments they'd like to have been present for. Does a bat used by Mickey Mantle have any more value than a regular old Louisville Slugger? Not to me, but in today's age of eBay and internet message boards, you can bet on it, but to whom and why? To die-hard baseball fans it's almost like some of Mantle's greatness has rubbed off on the bat, to non fans it sounds like a silly waste of money. I feel sort of the same way about the supercar memorabilia, if you're into it, it takes you back, reminds you of where it came from, even something as trivial as a give-away wisk broom, when you see it you know it was there in the supercar heyday, in the thick of things and it survived. Gets me goin' on the whole supercar trip, and I can certainly see why some of it commands big bucks especially with the value of some of these cars, but others might just see it as an old worthless broom, or a silly old baseball bat. To each his own I suppose...but I'm on the same page as you Frank.

Bud I was not offended as a matter of fact after our offline conversations you are a pretty nice guy. That is what I love about sites like this. You get the opportunity to meet a lot of true enthusiasts.
Kid, Am I right in thinking that camarojoe is your brother? If he is he always has the coolest things on e-bay. I would love to take a walk through his house and view his collection. I am going to try to make the reunion this year along with the many other attractions to view his collection in person. He will be there won't he?

I thought it was pretty good Bud. I don't get the high prices people are paying for some of this memorabilia, but I guess if you're a collector into a specific brand, name, style or whatever, then you just have to have it. I guess if a Yenko Darth Vader mask came up for sale, I would have to buy it to complete my Star Wars collection.
