The trim tags are all 11427 for some reason, so only the VIN will denote a 6cyl from a V8.

To my knowledge, the '70+ broadcast sheets don't show the L78 or L34 engine designations - I think it stopped in '69 but not sure.

Interesting, I did not know that. I only have a tiny sample size. I have seen one L48 on a fully loaded 70. G.
