Hey, if you got 'em, post away! I didn't take any pics that day - Karen was only days away from delivering Benjamin, so I came late and left early

Here's a pic of my Dad's '56 Hugger Orange Bel Air, he liked to call it "Orange Crush"...this was taken in 1970...note my uncle's lime green '70 Road Runner 383 4-speed in the background (he still owns the car today, too bad he didn't opt for the HEMI) Also note the added fender and hood striping on the '56...and the shortened mouldings using the tip of the fender spears on the front of the door mouldings. Gave it sort of a neat "Kustom" look. Orange Crush 56

55Chevy, HvyChevy, you guys have been asking now for about three months to see a photo of my shoebox, the car is covered and stored in the back of one of my buildings with about six cars in front of it, so the best I could do is snap a photo of a photo from a few years ago. I have owned this car since the seventies, the only changes I made was to take off the chrome reverse wheels with baby moons, other then that it is exactly how it was built around 1969. Fenderwell headers, tube grille, diamondplete interior, top of dash mounted Sun tach, Craig in dash 8 track with a plug in converter to play cassettes, dice from the mirror, blue dot tail lights, glasspack mufflers. musical horns, carpeted trunk, half headlight chrome covers, long throw Hurst shifter with polished T-Handle, 327 with 283 crank(302), tri power, finned corvette valve covers, Lakewood ladder bars, Gabriel air shocks, chrome driveshaft, finned aluminum rear end cover, and it has speakers installed in the rear shelf, called Mindblowers that each have their own amp built in. This car belonged to a famous country music singer and I left it as he had it built. When I do decide to go through the car I will keep it as is. Has one more thing that was a mandatory option, a tube of Brylcreem in the glovebox! Click on link.
Thanks, Motown http://www.boomspeed.com/ezmatt/DSC01611.JPG

Joe, I dont use the Brylcream either, not because I wouldnt or didnt, just got no hair left on top to use it on! I remember in the sixties in school when I wore a white T-shirt with a pack of Marlboro rolled up in one sleeve, leather jacket, black stovepipe pants, and oh boy, the black pointed toe shoes! What a Panic! One of these days I will get enough nerve to post a photo of that! I seem to remember the catagory I fell into was the "Greasers". "Little Deuce Coupe....You Dont Know What I Got............Well I'm Not Braggin Babe So Dont Put Me Down....But I Got The Fastest Set Of Wheels In Town........" You guys ever wonder whats going to happen when all us middle age second childhood guys pass on to the great dragstrip in the sky? Are these cars we love so much still going to have a following? Are the younger generation going to be collecting Fast and Furious type cars? Are the muscle cars going to die with the babyboomers? In a way I think we tend to collect and cherish these cars as a way of holding on to part of our youth and good memories of days gone by. If you took a poll amoung high school guys right now, how many would know what a Yenko or rock crusher is? I shudder at the thought of passing on my collection to my two teenage sons for what they would do with them, when most likely they would sell out to the first person with a fist full of money to buy concert tickets and a nitrous oxide Nissan. I realize there are some of the younger generation here on this board who love these cars as the older guys, but I would like to hear from you guys, what percentage of the younger generation really know about the American muscle car and all the history and technical that goes with it?
Thanks, Motown [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ ![]()

Motown - you don't have to worry about me - as you guys are making your final pass on the way to the drag strip in the sky I should just be hitting middle age and I'll be all over these cars worse than laywers chasing an ambulance - no offense meant to anybody who is a lawyer here or who has a friend/family member as a lawyer - gives me plenty of time for you guys to educate me and others and for me to save my pennies....
