Default Re: insurance

Tom, You are correct in the fact that Haggerty, or any other carrier, will definitely not write any liability policy that has a hint of "Timed and/or Competitive Events". Even if you explain till the cows come home that you have seperate coverage for racing or will only do a "little bit of racing etc." they will turn it down every time. Sure you can say on the app that you will have no racing activities and/or have procured racing coverage elsewhere, but if a claim arises as a result of a timed event, the company will present "material mispresentation" on the application and deny coverage. In the case of coverage for racing being written seperately "on another polciy" again, in the event of a claim they could be dragged in from the either the claimant or the "other carrier".Sure the carrier would more than likely get off with no liability, but that will incur expense money (legal defense) for the carrier to get that no liability decision from the court. That is basically the reason that the slightest hint of Racing, will get you a "Thanks, but no Thanks. Hope I helped out here. Sully
