I'm looking for a new BB "AC" fuel pump #40727.

Did you try buying it local? I bought one a few years ago from local AC Delco dealer.

There are usually a bunch of rebuilt, orig AC units on Ebay, I bought one for $20.00 !!, has the AC logo etc, and appears to be the original BB piece.
