Hi: It's a method of crack repair were a hole is drilled in the crack,tapped with a special tap.Then a cast tapered plug is screwed in.If the crack is longer more plugs are overlaped along the crack.I have seen it done across the 45 degree angle of the seat but it's risky.This process can also be called stitching or plug repair.Best be carefull
