Thats the beast.I found the car in florida stuffed in the corner of a garage.Car was originally out of Texas.It had been a drag car until the guy got transfered to Fla.The car was bought by the administrator of this site partially restored and then sold to Mike.

BBDon, I kind of wondered about the later model Vega. I'm not nearly as fond of the later style front end as I am of the earlier Camaro-like front end. That article you attached the links to is totally awesome! I printed it out for my collection. Thanks! [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Here's something I spotted in Hot Rod magazine, March 1974. The thing that surprised me was the price, 12K was a lot of money in 74. Browsing the same ad pages, you could have bought a Hemi Cuda that month for 2800.
