If it is the one I am thinking of it was done by a Co that wanted GM to sell them. I hate that car but that is just me.

There is a car collector friend here in the Seattle area, that built a re-make of the 53 Vette/Nomad from pictures of General Motors 53 Vette/Nomad proto-type which was built (a roller only, no motor) for display by GM back in that era. His has all new running gear and technology though, yet has the Nostalgic look as with the 2003 Vette above. It is really cool and wins best of show at most events he brings it to. It did cost him about $200K to build though. He also owns one of the 63 Gran Sport Vettes as well.
