Default Re: Canadian L-88 vette ?

Don,

The heater delete option for credit (RPO C-48) was a 1967 L-88 requirement only (although it was offered for any 1967 Corvette). All 1968 and up Corvettes, including L-88s, were equipped with heaters to comply with federal regulations requiring an operational defroster.

The regulations covered all cars that were to be delivered in the continental United States. While there were other cars such as Camaros and Novas delivered to Hawaii, Canada, and other locations without heaters, Corvettes were equipped with heaters regardless of where they were to be delivered.

For what it's worth, I was just at the NCRS National event in Hershey, PA... There are six 1969 L-88s in attendance (including one Canadian delivered car)... All of these cars have heaters.

Regards,

Stan Falenski
