I know in my local town of a 81 Z28 4 speed car, which was not available in the States. Anyway, car is tough, and motor is out. I could check the #'s and see for you if you think you really want it. About a 16 hour drive, maybe less. Should I go look????? or do you want to wait and see if something is closer!

Pete If it's real easy to do I'd appreciate that a lot but I think all 4 speed cars were 305's.I am almost sure all 350 cars were autos.Hate to have you go out of your way for something I feel won't work. Thanks for asking Duane

No, you could get the 350/4 speed in Canada. You could only get the 305/4 speed in the US. If you're going to look for a correct engine code, finding a 350/4 speed engine will be very difficult from a 1981 Z28. I would pursue any lead you can find. Unless you're just looking to go with a correct casting # block, then it would be easier.

I have found 2 blocks with the correct casting #'s but they are both about 9 months to early on the dates.Mine is an automatic car so it's just a matter of time but one will turn up.But where in the world am I gonna get a "correct" turbo???
