Default L-72 Biscayne production figures

I thought someone on this site might have production figures for the L-72 Biscayne 1966-1969, and also which year is the most desirable? Anyone?
Merry Christmas everyone.

I don't have any figures but I do know of a black '66 two door post L72 car that has been in our area all of its life.

SS427 hoods can be seen at www.impalass427.com . My black '68 SS427 Custom Coupe is under the '68 gallery but I don't think the hood is that visable though there are many examples of it on the site.

And if anyone knows of any hoods or side louvers for sale............

This is my favorite subject.
As per the "Chevrolet SS Muscle Car RED BOOK ",
in 1965 there were 1,838 L78 RPO's ordered in the big car. ( 396 x 425hp) I know you were asking about L72's, but I had to throw that in.
In 1966 there were 1,856 L72 big cars ordered.
In 1967 no L72 cars produced. (17 L72 engines were built???)
In 1968 there were 568 L72 big cars ordered.
In 1969 there were 546 L72 big cars ordered.

I think the most desirable car is a personal choice. But based on the numbers, it looks like 1966.

BBH,
I believe that is what Jim Mattison is working on now. The only detail that can be identified is the number of RPO's ordered in a model series. ie..Passenger car.
