I drive the LS6 as often as possible. It is fun to let the car eat the tires, although a pain to clean rubber from the wheelwells. As far as I'm concerned if you can't drive it, it isn't worth owning. I don't want an oversize paper weight in my garage. To each his own though.

Here's a recent pic from going to a local show. Ahhhhh there's nothing like the smell of unburned hydrocarbons in the morning.

You bet I drive my Yenko
After all, these things are still cars, not 'art'. What else are they good for if you don't take them out once in a while and exercise them? Kevin Hand! You should be ashamed of yourself! The Chevelle and the Nova have been restored, and can be restored again if need be - so drive the wheels off of them! Yea I know you paid a lot of money for them, but it's all relative, so why cut yourself short of experiencing all there is to owning such cars? How many people can answer 'YES' when someone asks you 'is it real?' after you've just chirped through all 4 gears?

Yeah that is a good Point...Although I am sure there is a lot of money to be made by collecting them |

Just because the cars are driven some really doesn't harm their value. As has been said many times before, they can be restored many, many times. If I wanted to collect something with little actual enjoyment from its' use...I'd collect stamps or coins.

I drive the 68 everytime I get A chance, and usually let her breathe A little too!!!! Besides, I wa always told to rotate the engine frequently when you have A solid lift setup.... So I do! It's fun to drive and you really turn some heads with these cars. It only gets frustrating when you can't get away from people who want to talk all day or run up on your bumper to see what you are driving. I don't have the brakes cars have today and in town I drive slower because of that.
Tommy 68SS chevyII 396/375,M21,12bolt 3.73 and Tuxedo Black to boot!!! |
